IRS Posts Updated Draft Instructions for Benefit Plan Determinations

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has issued draft instructions for Form 5300, Application for Determination for Employee Benefit Plans. These forms are used in certain circumstances to request an IRS determination of the plan's qualified status. The “What's New” section of the instructions indicate that the form and instructions have been updated to include individually designed 403(b) plans.
